The Terror That Flaps In The Night

Got the urge to do a Darkwing Duck picture, because, while Darkwing Duck was a wildly uneven show, when it scored, it scored big. And I decided to do it chiaroscuro, because chiaroscuro is one of the best ways to present characters like Darkwing Duck and his spiritual antecedents The Shadow and The Batman. And he's battling Megavolt, my favorite villain of the series.

What I discovered was that Morgana McCawber was a sexier character than I ever gave her credit for (for being a duck, I mean). Limited TV animation didn't really bring out the full umph of the character visually.

Boy, I wish somebody could get Tad Stones to do another Darkwing series.
