The Farmer's Daughter

Did you hear the one about the traveling salesman and the farmer's daughter?

Well, this is the updated twenty-first century version. A traveling salesman (actually a shady sales rep on the run for embezzling company products) wanders up to a farm, where he meets a pretty young thing named Sarah. He tries to sweet talk her into going with him to town in the family truck, where he plans to bed her and then abandon her. But Sarah is a graduate of the University of Nebraska with degrees in business management and veterinary medicine and she has this bozo pegged from the start.

When the sales rep realizes this, he tries to steal the truck. But Sarah is also pretty physical (they grow 'em big in Nebraska) and a bit of a spitfire and won't give up the truck without a fight. Several scratches and bruises later, the sales rep has managed to get Sarah tied to a post and takes the truck, leaving curses in his wake. Poor Sarah can only wait until her brother comes home and finds her (Her brother is 325 pounds and plays left guard for the Cornhusker football team - - they grow 'em big in Nebraska). At that point, Sarah and her brother will go in search of said sales rep and their truck, and he better hope the Nebraska Highway Patrol gets to him first.

And all of this was inspired by a picture of Applejack from My Little Pony. Imagine what I'd create if I actually watched the show . . .
